Kyle Edmund has been selected as the fifth member of the Great Britain team for Davis Cup this month’s finals. The former British number one, who is now placed at 7th in the world, gained selection after performing well during the Paris Masters.
The last spot for the team was left open after Andy Murray, Dan Evans, Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski has been selected initially.
“While Kyle has had a tough few months, he showed in Paris what he is capable of producing,” captain Leon Smith said.
The British team are set to place again the Netherlands and Kazakhstan in the group stage of the new format tournament on the November 20 and 21.
