Four more stations on Bangkok’s MRT line open this weekend

AfteThis year has seen the launch of five new stations on Bangkok’s MRT already with Wat Mangkon, Sam Yot, Sanam Chai, Itsaraphap and Tha Phra all being given the green light on August on the MRT Blue Line Extension. This weekend will see four more stations running from Phet Kasem 48 to Lak Song open on Saturday September 21.

The Mass Rapid Transport Authority have announced that the new lines will run from 5:30am to 11:05pm on weekdays and from 6:00am to 11:05pm on weekends, offering the people of Bangkok a single convenient ride, without need for a changeover at Hua Lamphong. The new lines will be free from September 21 to September 29, before fares kick in at the usual rate.
